Overview:
I am seeking a skilled Software Developer with experience in Artificial Intelligence to help develop and improve a Generative AI-based conversational tool. This tool aims to empower government communicators to be more effective and efficient. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology at the heart of government communications.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and refine existing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) functionality and system prompting features.

- Work on the design and development of new features such as sentiment analysis, data ingestion, and synthetic audience creation.

- Build and maintain a web API using FastAPI, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

- Work alongside other Software Developers to organise tasks and deliver work efficiently.

- Contribute to technical decision-making processes and collaborate with the team to ensure informed decisions on application design and testing approaches.

Essential Skills:

- Experience with Generative AI technology, including Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) functionality and related AI concepts.

- Proficiency in Python programming language.

- Strong understanding and implementation of security best practices in AI tooling development.

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

Additional Information:

- SC Clearance is required.

- This is a fully remote position.

- The contract runs until the end of the tax year, with the potential for extension.
