For over 50 years, Yashio Gakuen has provided high-quality education for children in Yashio, Saitama. Together with Yashio Nanairo Nursery School, we provide a continuous learning environment for children from infancy through high school, helping them develop intellectually, emotionally, and physically. We are looking for an enthusiastic English teacher to lead English classes for children of all ages. In addition to teaching, you'll support Japanese nursery staff with childcare duties, participate in school events, and help create a fun, engaging environment where children can enjoy learning English. You'll work alongside experienced Japanese teachers and receive comprehensive training in our PLS teaching method, so previous experience with the method is not required. ◆ Job Responsibilities English Lessons: ・Yashio Nanairo Nursery School (Toddlers: Ages 0–2)  - Teach regular English lessons once a week. ・Yashio Gakuen Preschool (Ages 3–5)  - Teach regular English lessons twice a week.  - Teach after-school English classes.  - Teach preschool English classes. Elementary School to High School students  - Teach both group and private English lessons. Additional Responsibilities ・Prepare and conduct lessons. ・Lead arts and crafts activities. ・Assist children during lunchtime. ・Assist Japanese nursery staff with childcare duties. ・Help organize and participate in school events, including Sports Day, Graduation Ceremony, Concerts, and the Elementary School Speech Festival. ・Participate in PLS training sessions and professional development seminars. ◆ Teaching Method & Training Lessons are based on the PLS (Pacific Language School) teaching method, a well-established English education program used at our school. No previous experience with the PLS teaching method is required. Comprehensive training and ongoing seminars are provided after you join our team, ensuring you'll be fully supported while learning the teaching method and developing your skills as an English teacher. ◆ Working Hours ・Monday to Friday (in principle) ・10AM – 7PM 8 working hours per day with a 1-hour break. ・Lesson preparation, event preparation, and other related duties are included in working hours. ・Occasional weekend or public holiday work may be required for school events or training seminars. When weekend work is required, a substitute day off will be provided. ◆ Requirements ・Native English speaker *Applicants whose first language is not English are encouraged to apply if they hold a recognized English teaching qualification such as CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or an equivalent certification. ・Japanese ability at daily conversational level or above ・Currently residing in Japan ◆ Preferred Qualifications ・Experience in early childhood education ・Love working with children ・Friendly, cheerful, patient, and energetic ・Willing to support childcare duties and school events ◆ Employment Type Contract Employee ・Initial Contract  - The initial contract period is from the date of joining through March 31, 2027. ・Performance Review  - Contract renewal is determined following the performance review conducted at the end of each academic year. ◆ Salary ¥300,000–310,000 per month Annual bonus: ¥200,000 (paid in March) *Bonus is applicable from the second year, upon contract renewal. **Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates currently residing in Japan. We will provide the necessary employer documentation to support visa extensions and changes of visa status.
