Role Overview
We are seeking a highly connected and entrepreneurial Fractional Senior Consultant role to expand Sukoon's presence across private universities and higher education institutions in India.
The ideal candidate will have experience engaging senior leadership within educational institutions and a proven ability to open doors, build executive relationships, and generate qualified opportunities.
This role is focused on identifying, qualifying, and advancing conversations with decision-makers including Vice Chancellors, Chancellors, Founders, Trustees, and Institutional Owners.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Proactively identify and engage private universities, colleges, and educational institutions across India.
- Build targeted outreach campaigns across Law, Medical, Engineering, Management, Liberal Arts, and other higher education segments.
- Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective institutional partners.
- Map key stakeholders and decision-makers within target institutions.
Executive Relationship Building
Establish relationships with:
- Vice Chancellors
- Chancellors
- Founders and Owners
- Governing Board Members
- Registrars
- Deans and Academic Leadership
- Student Affairs and Wellness Leaders
Secure meetings and presentations with individuals who possess budgetary authority and purchasing decision-making responsibility.
Sales & Solution Consulting
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand institutional challenges related to student wellbeing and mental health.
- Support proposal discussions and commercial negotiations alongside Sukoon leadership.
- Effectively articulate Sukoon's mission, value proposition, and impact outcomes.
Pipeline Management
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, meetings, and opportunity progress.
- Provide weekly updates on:
- Outreach efforts
- Meetings conducted
- Pipeline status
- Conversion progress
- Risks and opportunities
- Work closely with Sukoon leadership to refine target account strategies and improve conversion rates.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor student wellness initiatives, accreditation requirements, and institutional priorities.
- Competitive and market insights that can strengthen Sukoon's positioning and go-to-market strategy.
Performance Expectations
The consultant will be expected to achieve the following minimum monthly outcomes:
Lead Generation
Generate 5 qualified institutional opportunities per month.
Decision-Maker Access
Arrange 4 qualified meetings per month with senior institutional stakeholders.
Executive Meetings
Secure at least 1 meeting every week with a Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Founder, Owner, Trustee, or equivalent decision-maker with purchasing authority.
Activity Reporting
Participate in a weekly business review with Sukoon leadership and progress against targets.
Success Metrics
- Performance will primarily be assessed based on:
- Number of qualified opportunities generated
- Access to key decision-makers
- Quality of stakeholder relationships
- Meeting-to-proposal conversion rates
- Proposal-to-contract conversion rates
- Total contract value influenced and closed
