Experienced YouTube Video Editor | Food & Lifestyle Channel

We are looking for an experienced YouTube video editor to join our growing food and lifestyle channel, Kaitlyn Taylor. Channel: ---------- We publish recipe, cooking, family, and lifestyle content and are looking for an editor who has excellent creative judgment, strong pacing, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Our expected monthly content is: • 8 long-form YouTube videos per month, approximately 2 per week • Approximately 16 YouTube Shorts per month, approximately 4 per week For Shorts, we would like the editor to identify strong moments from the long-form footage and turn them into engaging vertical videos. This will usually mean creating approximately 2 Shorts from each long-form video. We want someone who understands strong hooks, pacing, captions, vertical formatting, and how to select moments that work well as standalone short-form content. You will receive our raw footage and will be responsible for taking the project from raw files to a finished, polished YouTube video. We are looking for someone who: • Has strong experience editing high-quality YouTube content • Understands pacing, storytelling, music, sound design, B-roll, text, and clean transitions • Understands YouTube Shorts and vertical short-form editing • Has experience editing cooking, food, lifestyle, vlog, or similar content • Has excellent attention to detail • Works independently without needing constant direction • Has a fast and dependable turnaround time • Has reliable high-speed internet and is comfortable downloading large 4K video files • Has enough computer performance and storage to work efficiently with 4K footage • Communicates clearly and meets deadlines • Is interested in a long-term working relationship Our goal is to find someone we trust with the footage and creative direction without needing to supervise every edit. We are looking for approximately a 48 to 72-hour turnaround for the first edit once footage is received. You do not need to use Final Cut Pro. You are welcome to edit in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or another professional editing platform as long as the finished work meets our quality standards.
