E-commerce Full-Stack Developer (Shopify + AI Tools & Technical SEO)

We are a growing e-commerce brand looking for an experienced E-commerce Full-Stack Developer (Shopify & AI) to take ownership of our store's technical development, custom tool integrations, and performance optimizations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our Shopify store development, build internal AI-powered tools and automations to sync with our store data, and implement technical SEO updates provided by our SEO team. Shopify Store Development & Customization: ? Build, maintain, and customize our Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript. ? Develop custom app functionality, private apps, or API-based integrations (Shopify Admin API / Storefront API). ? Troubleshoot layout bugs, checkout workflows, and third-party app conflicts. ? AI Tools & Custom Automation: ? Build, connect, and maintain AI-powered scripts and micro-tools (using APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) that sync with our store data, inventory, customer service, or catalog. ? Set up backend scripts/webhooks (Node.js, Python, or serverless functions) to automate business processes and data flows. ? Technical SEO Implementation: ? Implement technical SEO changes and site fixes provided by our SEO lead (e.g., Schema/JSON-LD structured data, canonical tags, redirect rules, sitemaps). ? Optimize site speed, Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID/INP, CLS), and image/asset delivery. ? General Store Operations & Tech Maintenance: ? Monitor store uptime, test new features before launch, and maintain clear documentation for custom code. Qualifications & Skills We’re Looking For: ? Shopify Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience (Liquid, Theme App Extensions, Shopify CLI, REST/GraphQL APIs). ? Full-Stack Proficiency: Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and at least one backend language for API scripts/integrations (Python or Node.js). ? AI & API Integration: Experience connecting Large Language Model (LLM) APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) with external databases or e-commerce workflows. ? Technical SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of how to implement Schema markup, manage meta data, handle canonicals/redirects, and diagnose page speed issues. ? Self-Driven & Organized: Ability to take a project brief, problem-solve independently, and deliver clean, well-documented work on time. ? Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills. ? The ability to work US hours. Nice-to-Haves: ? Experience with headless Shopify architectures (Hydrogen / Next.js). ? Experience with automation platforms ( ---------- , Zapier, n8n) alongside custom code. ? Familiarity with Git / GitHub version control for theme development.
