E-commerce Bookkeeper - Xero & QuickBooks

I run a UK-based strategic finance consultancy working primarily with e-commerce businesses across both the UK and US. I am looking for an experienced and reliable bookkeeper to support several client accounts. This is initially a part-time role of approximately 8 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the role develops. Responsibilities * Bookkeeping across Xero and QuickBooks Online * Bank and credit card reconciliations * Transaction coding and review * Accounts payable and accounts receivable * Month-end reconciliations * Accruals and prepayments * Balance sheet reconciliations and review * Supporting VAT preparation where applicable * Working with e-commerce platforms and payment providers * Identifying unusual transactions, errors or areas requiring further investigation Experience required E-commerce bookkeeping experience is essential. You should also have: * At least 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience * Strong hands-on Xero experience * Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online * Experience managing multiple businesses or client accounts * Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles * Excellent attention to detail * Good written and spoken English * Ability to work independently and raise questions when something does not look right Experience with the following would be particularly useful: * UK and US businesses * Amazon * Shopify * Stripe and PayPal * UK VAT * Multi-currency accounts * E-commerce settlement reconciliations I am looking for someone who understands the accounting behind the transactions rather than simply processing them. Good judgement and the ability to identify issues are important. Hours and pay Approximately 8 hours per week initially. Pay range: $8-$10 per hour depending on experience.
