Dispatch Operations Specialist

We’re hiring our first dedicated Dispatcher to support our growing operations, particularly on a network of autonomous vehicles and food-delivery robots across U.S. markets. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day dispatch including monitoring live fleet operations, coordinating with field teams, troubleshooting issues as they happen, and helping build dispatch workflows that will support the operation as it scales. You’ll be working across multiple systems and communication channels, keeping track of what’s happening across different markets and jumping in when something needs attention. You’ll work closely with field operators and internal teams, make quick calls when issues come up, and speak directly with customers when needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable making quick decisions, switching between different tools, and working with both internal teams and external customers. You’ll be working closely with U.S.-based field teams every shift, so previous experience supporting U.S. operations remotely is a strong plus. Since this function is still being built, you’ll also have a real opportunity to help shape the workflows, escalation paths, and processes that the team will use as it grows. What You'll Do - Monitor fleet activity and alert channels across multiple platforms and markets, tracking robot and vehicle locations, battery levels, active tasks, and delivery status. - Own operational issues through resolution by identifying and prioritizing issues as they arise, including stalled or immobilized robots, unsafe conditions, missed tasks, and deliveries that fall off schedule. - Contact the assigned field operator to resolve the issue, and follow established escalation procedures when they do not respond within the required timeframe. - Coordinate backup coverage when the assigned operator is unavailable so that fleet operations continue without interruption. - Continuously triage incoming alerts, messages, and fleet data, determining what requires immediate action and what can be handled through normal workflows. - Prioritize and coordinate field service activity across markets, including battery swaps, robot recoveries, fleet interventions, and other service stops. - Handle calls from drivers and supervisors on active runs who are unable to locate a delivery address or reach a customer, and resolve the issue on their behalf. - Contact customers directly to confirm delivery locations, obtain access instructions, or complete a drop off. - Document each i ---------- , the actions taken, and any details relevant to future operations - such as gate codes, difficult access points, and recurring problem locations - and help pinpoint recurring patterns that can improve future workflows and customer technology. - Contribute to the development of dispatch procedures, escalation paths, and operational documentation as the operation grows. - Work across multiple customer platforms, dashboards, Slack channels, and internal tools, quickly building context even when information is spread across different systems. What We're Looking For - 3+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, fleet operations, transportation, field operations, or another fast-moving operations environment. - At least 1 year of experience working directly with a startup is highly preferred - Experience supporting U.S.-based companies, customers, drivers, operators, or field teams, preferably in a remote or offshore setup. - Hands-on experience coordinating drivers, field workers, technicians, couriers, vehicles, deliveries, or other moving resources. - Strong real-time problem-solving skills. You can assess a situation quickly, figure out what needs to happen, and take action without waiting to be told every step. - Comfortable handling multiple tasks, systems, and communication channels at the same time, as well as piecing together information across multiple tools when troubleshooting an issue. - Confident in commu
