Director, Project Management - Performance & Reporting
Job Description:
We believe in bold ideas, diverse perspectives, and the drive to transform knowledge into impact. Here, your curiosity fuels progress, your voice shapes innovation, and your ambition helps redefine what’s possible within science and learning. We are a culture that obsesses over impact, challenges, and drives what’s next to power infinite possibilities for our customers, colleagues and society at large.
About the Role:
As Director, Project Management — Performance & Reporting, you help Wiley ’s AI & Data Analytics business unit operate with commercial discipline, pipeline reporting, and consistent executive visibility. Reporting to the VP, Strategy & Operations, you coordinate the operating rhythm around the commercial pipeline, monthly business reviews, and act as the connective tissue between the BU commercial teams and Wiley ’s centralized Revenue Operations function.
In a portfolio carrying ambitious growth targets across Applied Research Intelligence and Audience Solutions, the cost of stale pipeline data, inconsistent reporting, or under-prepared executive reviews compounds quickly. You will be the person who keeps the moving parts aligned, ensures the numbers presented are the numbers trusted, anticipates the questions leadership will ask, and holds the cadence around commercial performance steady, repeatable, and respected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Commercial Pipeline Visibility & Reporting: Coordinate the end-to-end pipeline reporting layer for Applied Research Intelligence and Audience Solutions, including weekly pipeline health, forecast accuracy, conversion analytics, and leading indicators of commercial momentum. Work across BU, Revenue Operations (Rev Ops), and Finance reporting to maintain a single source of truth as a service to BU GMs.
- Reporting & Analytics: Provide BU-specific data and reporting requirements to help shape information system requirements in Wiley ’s Shared Services. Own and build analytical models and dashboards that serve as the single source of truth for the BU.
- MBR Preparation: Coordinate the design, drafting, and orchestration of Monthly Business Reviews. Pull together commercial performance into a clear executive narrative.
- QBR Coordination: Act as the BU-side coordinator for the centrally-run Quarterly Business Review process. Ensure Applied Research Intelligence and Audience Solutions inputs are accurate, on-time, and narratively consistent.
- Revenue Operations Liaison: Act as the primary BU-side counterpart to Wiley ’s Shared Services and Rev Ops functions across sales analytics, sales operations, revenue acceleration, sales training, customer success, and onboarding. Channel BU needs into Rev Ops priorities, coordinate BU requirements into central programs, and support BU adoption of central capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Align with Sales, Finance, Product, Rev Ops and Marketing leadership so that commercial reporting connects coherently to financial reporting, pipeline-to-product feedback, and demand-generation effectiveness.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Work credibly with BU leaders and central function partners without direct authority.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Program Management: 6+ years of experience in program and project management, change management, and revenue strategy & operations role.
- Executive Reporting Craft: Demonstrated track record of preparing MBR cycles and contributing to QBR processes for senior leadership.
- Rev Ops Partnership: Experience operating alongside or within a centralised Revenue Operations function across sales analytics, sales operations, sales training, customer success, and onboarding. Clarity on where BU coordination ends and central capability begins; able to broker and coordinate, not duplicate.
- Analytical Rigor: Comfortable interrogating commercial data directly - building models, identifying anomalies, validating assumptions - rather than relying solely on what is
