About the Role
We're looking for a Creative Marketing Lead to own creative production and direction across our marketing efforts โ not just executing what's handed to you, but shaping how campaigns look, feel, and come together. This role is for someone with strong design instincts, real ownership of brand identity work, and the judgment to make creative calls with minimal hand-holding. You'll be the go-to person for creative output: setting the standard, keeping quality and consistency high, and โ as the team grows โ guiding other designers or freelancers on projects you lead.
This isn't a pure production role. We want someone who can take a rough idea or a marketing goal and turn it into a finished, on-brand campaign โ and who's comfortable being the person who says "here's the better way to do this."
What You'll Do
Creative Direction & Production
Own the creative execution of marketing campaigns from concept to finished asset โ social, email , web, ads, presentations, event materials
Set and maintain visual/brand standards across all creative output
Make creative decisions independently once given a goal or brief, rather than waiting for detailed direction
Build and evolve brand guidelines, templates, and systems that keep future production fast and consistent
Adapt and extend existing designs across formats without losing brand integrity
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as the point person for creative quality โ review work (your own and, over time, any contributors' or freelancers' work) before it goes out
Translate marketing goals into a creative plan, then delegate or execute accordingly
Communicate proactively on status, blockers, and creative recommendations rather than just waiting for feedback
Partner directly with the marketing/leadership team on campaign strategy from the creative side
Project & Systems Ownership
Track and prioritize creative requests and deadlines across multiple concurrent projects
Keep design files, templates, and brand assets organized and easy for the team to use
Build repeatable systems/processes that reduce turnaround time as volume grows
Required Experience
Proven experience owning creative output for a brand or agency โ not just producing individual assets, but shaping how they look and work together
Demonstrated experience building brand identity/guidelines from scratch (not only working from existing brand kits)
Strong eye for layout, typography, branding, and visual consistency
Fluency with: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva
Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) as part of the creative workflow
Experience managing or mentoring other designers, or clearly demonstrated readiness to (e.g., led QA/review of others' work, ran a small design team, trained others)
Strong written and spoken English
Highly organized, deadline-driven, comfortable managing multiple projects at once
Comfortable working remotely with a U.S.-based team, full graveyard/US-hours overlap
What Success Looks Like
Creative output is consistently on-brand, polished, and requires minimal revision cycles
You're proactively flagging better creative approaches, not just executing requests as given
Templates, systems, and brand assets are organized and scalable
The team trusts you to make creative calls without close supervision
As the team grows, you're able to review and guide other designers' work
