Title: Independent Contractor – CPT-11033 Senior Medical Scribe / Charting Virtual Assistant (Part-Time)/Business Support/Senior Level (Remote).
Overview
20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
We are seeking a Senior-Level Medical Scribe / Charting Virtual Assistant to support a Nurse Practitioner in daily documentation, patient note preparation, and administrative tasks. This role requires close attention to detail, accuracy, client confidentiality, and familiarity with medical terminology. Experience in healthcare is highly preferred as the role involves real-time note-taking and charting.
You will work directly with the Nurse Practitioner to ensure that all patient encounters are properly documented, stored, and organized using the client’s preferred tools. The ideal candidate is someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical workflow, manage sensitive patient information with the strictest confidentiality, and maintain HIPAA compliance.
The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.
Scope of Services
Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:
1. Charting and Medical Scribing (For Documentation)
- Create accurate and comprehensive medical documentation during or after patient encounters.
- Ensure that all patient interactions, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions are properly recorded.
- Maintain consistency in formatting and medical terminology to support clinical workflows.
- Review charts for completeness and follow clinical documentation standards.
2. Real-Time Note-Taking During Phone Calls
- Join phone calls with the Nurse Practitioner and patients to document symptoms, concerns, medical history updates, and treatment notes.
- Capture key information clearly and concisely to assist the provider in delivering efficient patient care.
- Organize notes promptly after each call to ensure smooth charting and record-keeping.
3. Preparing Patient Notes Before Appointments
- Receive a list of patients scheduled for the day from the Nurse Practitioner.
- Pre-fill or prepare notes by reviewing previous medical history, diagnoses, and relevant information to streamline the consultation.
- Verify that all required forms, data, and fields are ready for the Nurse Practitioner before each patient call or visit.
4. Documentation Management Using OneDrive
- Upload, organize, and maintain patient documentation securely in OneDrive.
- Ensure files are labeled correctly and stored following the client’s folder structure and confidentiality standards.
- Maintain proper version control and ensure no duplication or missing data occurs.
5. Optional Use of PointClickCare (Experience Preferred, Not Required)
- If experienced, assist in navigating PointClickCare for documentation, chart updates, or patient lookup.
