How you'll get to contribute:

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the scheduling/estimating aspects of our transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and transit systems across New Jersey and New York. The Scheduler/Estimator will be instrumental in developing, analyzing, and maintaining various project schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. This role could also be responsible for preparing construction/engineering cost estimates on various sized projects. Limited travel may be required for this role.

What you'll get to do:

Schedule Development and Management:Develop and maintain comprehensive design and/or construction schedules for various projects using Primavera P6 software. These schedules will include all phases from design to completion.

Contractor Schedule Review:Analyze and review contractor-provided schedules for feasibility, risk, conflicts, and delays. Provide feedback and recommendations for schedule improvements.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor project progress against the schedule. Identify any deviations and suggest corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Collaboration with Project Teams:Coordinate with project team members, engineers, and contractors to ensure that schedules accurately reflect the scope of work and project timelines.

Schedule Integration:Integrate multiple project schedules into a comprehensive program schedule to provide a holistic view of all ongoing projects.

Reporting and Documentation:Prepare detailed schedule reports, including critical path analysis, progress updates, and forecasts.

- Cost Estimates:Prepare cost estimates for ongoing engineering and construction projects at the direction of the Project Controls Director.

Who you are:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project is preferred.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in transportation infrastructure projects.

- Knowledge of cost estimating best practices.

Knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and project management principles.

Experience working on highway, bridge, and transit projects.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple project assignments.

Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- AACE International or PMI certifications (i.e. PSP, PMI-SP, PMP, etc.) preferred.
