This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Commercial Lawyer to support a senior sole practitioner based in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian commercial law, with at least 5–10 years of post-qualification experience , and be confident in handling a range of transactional and advisory matters with minimal supervision.

You will work closely with a sole practitioner, providing hands-on support for legal drafting, contract preparation, and advisory matters across multiple practice areas. You will need to demonstrate high attention to detail, quality-driven output, and excellent time management skills to help ease the client's current workflow challenges.
Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and advise on a wide range of commercial legal documents, including:
- Shareholders’ agreements

- Sale of business contracts

- Lease agreements and reviews

- Contractor agreements

- Provide legal support for commercial transactions and real estate matters.

- Assist with wills and estates documentation.

- Manage workload autonomously and help streamline workflow for the client.

- Deliver high-quality work that aligns with Australian legal standards and practice norms.

Requirements

- Law degree and current legal practicing certification.

- Minimum of 5–10 years' experience.

- Prior experience working with or supporting senior lawyers or sole practitioners and familiarity with Australian law.

- Demonstrated ability to independently handle legal drafting and contract preparation.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong document drafting and legal analysis skills.

- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
