The Opportunity
The Senior Manager of Clinical Trial Reimbursement provides advanced functional leadership and strategic direction in the development and execution of reimbursement strategies supporting medical device clinical studies. This individual contributor operates with a high degree of independence and technical expertise to ensure compliant, consistent, and scalable reimbursement practices across IDE, post approval, post market, and evidence development studies.
The Senior Manager partners broadly across Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, Legal, and global study teams to ensure alignment between study design, payer requirements, and reimbursement strategy. This role contributes to cross divisional initiatives, influences clinical evidence planning, and ensures adherence to CMS, payer, and Abbott compliance standards.
What You’ll Work On
- Serve as a subject matter expert in national, local, and payer specific coverage policy, leading internal policy discussions, synthesizing regulatory and reimbursement changes, and providing strategic insights that influence clinical development, evidence generation, and access strategy
- Lead the strategic review and interpretation of clinical investigative plans and payer policies, including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial payers, to establish comprehensive coverage and reimbursement strategies for IDE, PAS and PMS, Coverage with Evidence Development, and other sponsored trials across all therapy areas including Cardiac Rhythm Management, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure, Neuromodulation, Structural Heart, and Vascular
