Business Manager, Overwatch Project / FORGE

Position: Business Manager

Location: Miami, FL, or Virtual office

We are seeking an individual with experience and success in business management, including managing project execution and partner relationships, for a rapidly growing nonprofit preventing suicide and saving lives through innovative peer-to-peer training programs. If you can demonstrate a track record of success supporting a growing portfolio of programs and organizing ongoing work, all while responding nimbly to partner needs, we want to talk to you! You will have responsibility for the organization’s sound program execution, while having a say in our strategic direction and future project development.

As our Business Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Supporting and managing relationships with existing government, military, nonprofit and foundation partners

- Selecting and implementing a project and program management system and supporting disciplined execution.

- Coordinating events and commitments with partners

- Managing and supporting product development for new educational programs and resources

- Selecting and implementing contact management and attendee registration systems

- Working with research teams and coordinating with partners to ensure effective data collection on evaluation projects

Day-to-day responsibilities:

- Coordinate project logistics, to include partner coordination, advance scheduling, site prep, materials, and scope changes

- Manage other essential staff and contract support, including bookkeeping, communications, event planning and trainers

- Fundraising tasks, including donor outreach and managing peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns

- Coordinate and prepare materials for board and stakeholder meetings

- Prepare impact reports, including annual reports and board communication

- Manage evaluation, event and other partners to ensure timely and accurate data entry into contact management systems and project impact trackers

- Manage annual compliance on federal contracting, including training and background check requirements

- Develop and maintain budget including review and analysis of monthly budget-to-actual reports

- Recruit, hire, onboard and develop new team members to support project expansion

- Estimate team capacities and gut-check new commitments

This position will receive support from the Executive Director and our team of functional advisors (accounting, legal, etc.). You will report directly to the Executive Director with wide latitude. You will gather guidance from existing team members and advisors you cultivate. This position requires a home office, capable of frequent online calls and communications. If local in Miami, visits to work in the FORGE office as needed.

Qualifications and Expectations
Professional Acumen

- 2+ years program management, ideally nonprofit space

- 1+ years managing government contracts (ideally US federal contracts) preferred

- 1+ years coordinating contact management and fundraising preferred

- Candidates must be creative and strategic thinkers who have demonstrated excellent follow-through and attention to detail via:
