What you own You generate new business from zero. No inbound lead, no existing relationship, no warm intro required โ€” you find who should be working with us, reach them by call, email , or DM, and pitch them on it. You own the entire arc from first contact to signed engagement. This is not chasing something already agreed to. That's a different seat. You're creating the "yes" in the first place, with people who don't know we exist yet and have no reason to reply to you. Once something's signed, it's handed off to get built and delivered. Your job ends at the close, not before it, and not indefinitely after it โ€” you're not managing the relationship forever, you're the reason it started. What disqualifies you -A generic pitch that doesn't change based on who you're actually talking to -Overpromising to close โ€” misrepresenting what we actually do isn't a sales technique here, it's a liability we'll have to clean up -Going quiet after a rejection instead of adjusting and trying the next one -Needing leads handed to you. If you're waiting to be given someone to call, that's not this role -Losing track of what's actually been said to whom โ€” sloppy pipeline tracking creates problems for everyone downstream of you What you need -A real track record of generating net-new business through outbound โ€” cold calls, cold email , cold DMs, not warm referrals dressed up as cold outreach -Genuine comfort with rejection and repetition, without needing each attempt to land to keep going -Sharp enough listening to actually customize a pitch in real time, not just recite one -No specific degree or credential required How we hire for this Not a narrative interview. Talking about how you'd handle a cold call and actually running one are two different skills, so we test the second one directly. Application: a few standard questions on how you approach outreach, rejection, and follow-up. Not scored as truth โ€” it's the baseline we check your live performance against. Live round: you'll actually pitch โ€” a real (simulated) cold call or cold outreach scenario, run live. You'll get real objections, real pushback, and direct correction on your approach at least twice in the same session. We're not scoring a polished first pitch. We're scoring whether your second attempt is sharper than your first, and whether you can take a note on your approach without getting defensive about it. If you can start something from nothing and make it land, apply.
