Business Developer | Public Sector & Community Development Build Relationships. Drive Growth. Make an Impact. Are you a relationship-driven professional with experience in business development, community management, municipal relations, economic development, utilities, infrastructure, or public sector partnerships? Do you thrive on connecting with stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and helping communities solve critical challenges? We are seeking a Business Developer to expand our presence within planned community markets by building strong partnerships with local government leaders, engineering firms, consultants, utilities, and key decision-makers. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic connector who enjoys collaborating with communities, developing growth strategies, and leading high-value project pursuits. What You'll Do As a Business Developer, you will serve as a trusted partner to municipalities, utilities, consultants, and industry stakeholders while driving growth within an assigned market. Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain relationships with municipal officials, community leaders, utility providers, consulting engineers, and engineering firms.

- Develop and execute market growth strategies to increase market share and expand business opportunities.

- Identify, research, and pursue infrastructure and public works projects through existing and emerging sales channels.

- Lead major project pursuits by collaborating with internal teams and sales partners to create winning strategies.

- Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers and purchasing influencers.

- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, community events, and professional associations.

- Manage project opportunities from early development through proposal, selection, and contract award.

- Procure and review RFQs, RFPs, bid documents, and related procurement materials.

- Coordinate proposals, pricing, bid submissions, contracts, and supporting documentation.

- Assist with proposal presentations and project startup activities.

- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

- Analyze project outcomes and identify opportunities to improve future win rates.

- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and business conditions that may impact growth opportunities.

What We're Looking For We're interested in candidates who have successfully developed relationships, influenced stakeholders, and driven business growth within planned communities and related organizations. Required Qualifications

- Strong business development, sales, or relationship management experience.

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

- Ability to build credibility and influence decision-makers at multiple levels.

- Strong organizational and project management skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and pursuits simultaneously.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- 5-10 years of related business developme
