Business Analyst (WFH)

About the job: Key responsibilities: Monitor transactions for suspicious bookings, payments, cancellations and refunds. Investigate suspected fraud, including stolen cards, fake accounts and fraudulent bookings. Detect refund abuse, such as repeated or unusually large refund requests. Analyse chargebacks and payment disputes and identify their root causes. Verify customer and host activity and flag suspicious identity or account behaviour. Identify linked accounts using transaction, device, IP and behavioural patterns. Create fraud-risk rules and alerts to prevent suspicious transactions before losses occur. Investigate anomalies in Staywala's financial and booking data. Work with Finance and Customer Support to resolve disputed transactions and refunds. Escalate high-risk cases to management or the appropriate compliance/payment team. Maintain fraud reports and dashboards, tracking fraud losses, chargebacks, refund abuse and detection rates. Recommend improvements to Staywala's payment, refund and verification processes. Document investigations and maintain an audit trail for important fraud cases. Continuously analyse emerging fraud patterns and update detection strategies.1.
