Position: Basque Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities

- Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Basque. Ensure clarity and accuracy while adhering to guidelines.

- Produce high-quality written outputs in Basque and English. Capture nuances like tone, intent, and dialectal variations.

- Develop evaluation rubrics and grading guidelines in Basque and English. Document standards for consistency.

- Conduct model testing and grading. Evaluate outputs for accuracy, completeness, and fluency.

- Support benchmarking and quality assurance. Participate in QA cycles to ensure quality and consistency.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Native or near-native fluency in Basque and professional fluency in English.

- Familiarity with spoken Basque, regional vocabulary, and dialects.

- Ability to transcribe and analyze Basque audio content.

- Available to commit 10–20 hours/week .

Preferred

- College students or recent graduates.

- Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, translation/localization, or technical disciplines.

- Experience with transcription, annotation, localization, evaluation, or research workflows in Basque.

- Familiarity with Standard Basque and regional dialects.

- Interest in AI, language models, or applied research environments.
