Position Title: BAS Technical Manager Position Location: Remote -work virtually from anywhere in the United States SALARY DLB recognizes salary ranges from job boards do not necessarily reflect our pay ranges. JOB SUMMARY TheBAS Technical Managersupports DLB’s mission critical projects, with a primary focus on building automation systems (BAS),PMS (Power Management System),controls integration, and smart building solutions. This role provides technical and project leadership for the planning, and designof BAS/PMSand integrated control systemsand develops and maintains DLB controls standards. TheBAS Technical Managercollaborates closely without-source partners,MEP design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, software engineers, project managers, and client representatives to ensure systems are designed, integrated, and delivered in alignment with project requirements and client expectations. This position operates with a high degree of independence, receiving generaldirectionson routine work and detailed guidance on new or complex assignments. Themanagermay serve as a technical lead/ Point of Contacton projects of moderate to complex scope and coordinate the work of other engineering and production staff. The role communicates and operates in line with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Engineering Design-Support Activities (40%)   - Oversee subconsultant scopes of work, including the development, review, and coordination of Statements of Objectives (SOO), construction drawings, and technical specifications. - Ensure subconsultant deliverables are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements, organizational standards, and applicable codes and regulations using the DLB QAQC process. - Coordinate with project teams and external partners to monitor scope compliance, maintain quality expectations, and support timely delivery of design and documentation packages. - Createand manage project deliverables including designdrawings, sequences of operations and specifications - Assist in development ofvarious engineering drawings in AutoCADand Revitformat including floor plan drawings, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams and control panel diagrams  - Coordinate items with MEP trades that alsoaffectBAS - Identify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines - Management of project deliverableswhen they are not the lead design engineer Standards Development and Maintenance (30%) - Develop, document, and maintain BAS and EPMS production standardsin conjunction with the BIM team. - Develop, document, and maintain BAS and EPMS specification sections. - Review existing standards regularly to ensure they align with customer needs, DLB graphics standards, and ongoing innovations in the industry. - Provide training, guidance, and support to staff regarding standards implementation and compliance. - Work closely with outsource partners standards and training staff to ensure compliance on all projects. Assist in Construction Administration Activities (10%) - Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team - Manage and review shop drawings and submittals
