AICJ Kindergarten is a four-year international kindergarten program that provides both Japanese and English immersion learning environments for children of all nationalities and ethnicities.
We are now looking for a strong Head Teacher to support the development of our school program in Okayama City. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood educator who is interested not only in teaching, but also in helping build systems, strengthen teams, and contribute to the growth of a developing kindergarten program.
The successful applicant will play an important role in supporting classroom quality, teacher
collaboration, program development, and the overall learning experience of our students. We are looking for someone who is reflective, responsible, adaptable, and ready to help shape a strong school culture from the ground up.
AICJ Kindergarten is also continuing to modernize how students learn through inquiry-based learning, technology integration, and STEM-related projects. We are looking for a teacher-leader who is excited to contribute to this next stage of growth.
Position Information / 募集内容
The work week is Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional weekend work may be required for school events, open houses, or special programs. The yearly calendar and upcoming schedule will be discussed in detail during the interview process, as open houses are currently scheduled for July and August.
As this is a leadership-focused teaching role, the Head Teacher will be expected to support not only classroom instruction but also the development of the school program. This may include helping build routines, systems, curriculum structures, team expectations, and parent-facing school culture.

Compensation and Benefits / 給与・福利厚生
Monthly salary will be between ¥290,000 and ¥310,000. Final salary will be determined based on the successful applicant's resume, qualifications, teaching experience, leadership experience, and overall fit for the role. The first three months will be a probationary period.
Transportation costs are covered up to ¥22,000 per month. Social insurance, health insurance, pension, and unemployment insurance are covered by the company as stipulated by Japanese labor law.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated educator who is ready to take on a Head Teacher role in an international or bilingual kindergarten setting.
A minimum of 2 years of international or bilingual kindergarten teaching experience
Strong classroom management and early childhood teaching skills
Experience planning and leading lessons for young learners
A collaborative and professional attitude
The ability to support and guide other teachers
Interest in building school systems, team routines, and program structures
Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to help grow a developing school program
Strong communication skills with children, colleagues, and families
A long-term interest in early childhood education and school development
