Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team remotely, supporting UK-based clients. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements, along with hands-on experience using leading accounting software.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and submit statutory accounts from source records

- Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UK regulations

- Manage payroll processing, including calculations and submissions

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting

- Handle bookkeeping and reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer)

- Assist with tax computations and compliance requirements

- Communicate with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries

- Ensure adherence to UK accounting standards and deadlines

Requirements

- ACCA Affiliate (mandatory)

- Proven experience working with UK-based clients or UK accounting systems

- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and taxation

- Ability to prepare accounts independently from source records

- Experience in VAT returns and payroll processing

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in:

- Xero

- QuickBooks

- IRIS Software

- VT Accounting

Soft Skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
